We had so much fun welcoming our new Junior Infants and their parents to school this morning. Everyone was so happy and joyful and could not wait to get into big school. Thank you to all the Mums and Dads who came along in their PPE, got a quick photo and headed off again. It's great to be back and this was a wonderful start! A few short video clips to give you all a virtual tour around the school, so that children and parents have an idea of what to expect when we are all back on Monday 31st August. Now that all the preparations are in place we are really excited and cannot wait to see all your shining happy faces again!
The school has been a hive of activity over the past number of weeks in preparation for our return to school on Friday 28th August. Below you will find snapshots of the school and some of the measures we have taken to ensure the safety of the children and staff while at school. We are very much looking forward to welcoming the children back and we hope to have a happy and safe school year.
Congratulations to the children, parents, Fr. Jerry, Clare Sheerin, John Burke and the teachers on their contributions to making the First Holy Communion in Tang Church last Saturday morning a delightful occasion. It was clear that all involved worked hard to make the day a meaningful and holy day in the lives of the children and their families. Everything including the artwork, singing, readings, and prayers was wonderful. Well done to everyone.

Signed: John Burke Date 29/6/2020 Chairperson, Board of Management Signed: Caitríona Behan Date 29/6/2020 Principal Virtual Sports Day was a great success around the Tang community last Friday. We received so many lovely photos of the children competing with their families and having lots of fun. After a slow damp start, the weather finally picked up. It was very obvious that a lot of planning, preparation and practice went into the activities. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed viewing the photos. Good job everyone! Thank you for all the entries to the fancy dress competition. We were blown away by the creativity and the lengths the children went to creating their costumes. The winners of the Topical category are Cara and Isla Taplin. The runners up, in no particular order, are Grace and Emma Keegan, Isabella Murphy and Mya, Noah and Sasha Gill. The winner of the Creativity category is Ethan Rhatigan and the runners up, in no particular order, are Charlie Gibson, Isabella Mannion and Laura Gardiner. Well done to everyone! It was such a treat to receive these lovely photos from some of the Senior Infant children. They are busy at home writing, baking, experimenting and creating brilliant artwork. Well done children! |
