The children in 3rd and 4th class participated in paired reading with Junior and Senior Infants. We heard so many wonderful stories that the children wrote themselves. Well done children!
It was an absolute joy to watch and listen to the children of 1st to 6th classes in Tang church performing 'Off to Bethlehem' last night. No doubt everyone in the audience blown away by the beautiful singing and also the terrific miming by the 1st and 2nd class children, who truly were were captivating. And to the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes, well done on the beautiful tunes you played on the tin whistles, guitars and violins. They were a real treat to listen to. Finally, a big congratulations to the 6th class readers on your excellent loud, clear reading voices, narrating us through the play. Our children have such an array of talents in our school and it was great to see some of these talents shine so brightly last night. Well done children.
The mums and dads were bowled over with the Junior and Senior Infants Nativity play performance last Thursday and Friday. The children had lots of lines to learn off by heart, and songs full of actions to sing. We were so proud. Well done children!
The Junior and Senior Infants enjoyed a morning away from school in the Dean Crowe theatre yesterday. It was a worrying time for Santa as he was put under a sleeping spell by some baddies. Fortunately for all the boys and girls around the world, the good fairy woke him up just in time to deliver his presents. phew!
Senior Infants have been incredibly active this month. Every morning we run laps of the basketball court. Some of us run up to 12 laps every morning! Today we added up all the laps for November and were amazed to discover that we ran the equivalent of 190km this month. We are so pleased!
Senior Infants enjoyed their daily run in costume this morning.
Thank you to 4th class for listening to us and reading to us today. Senior Infants had a lovely afternoon.

Our 5th and 6th Class boys and girls participated in the Westmeath Schools Cross Country Running competition today for their first time in Belvedere House, Mullingar. Everyone had an amazing day out and were very successful in their running events. Aoibhinn narrowly missing out in the 5th Class girls event, she was just one place off getting a medal. What a great day out, we will definitely be back next year again!
