St. Mary's National School, Tang is a co-educational school situated in the county of Westmeath on the Longford/Westmeath border. The school is just 4kms from Ballymahon on the N55 Cavan to Athlone Road.  

Our Mission Statement

​We at Scoil Mhuire, Teanga strive to enable all children to develop to their full potential - intellectually, emotionally, physically, spiritually and socially by providing a happy, caring, stimulating environment promoting self-esteem and confidence and preparing them for life-long learning. We work in partnership with parents and the wider community in an atmosphere of mutual trust.

School Opening Times

The school building opens at 9.10 in the morning and classes start at 9.20 a.m. Small break is at 11am for 10 minutes and lunch is at 12.45pm for 30 minutes. The children in Junior and Senior Infants go home at 2pm and the remaining classes go home at 3pm.
