Introducing the Active School's Committee
Cooking with Valerie
For five Fridays, 6th class joined Valerie for a cooking class. Valerie was really helpful and taught us to prepare healthy meals in a way that was inexpensive. Not only this, she informed us about healthy eating, hygiene and lots more.
It was really enjoyable and the boys and girls loved spending their Fridays cooking. They couldn’t wait to go home and cook lots of delicious meals for their families.

Our Health Promoting School
Our Health Promoting School Committee is made up of Teachers: Mrs. Rooney and Ms. McDonnell, Parents: Eilish Russell and Marie Curran, and Students: Michelle Laffan, Shane Keenan, Irene Leavy and Eoin Maloney. They have been working hard to promote a healthy lifestyle for all students.
Health Promoting School Week took place this year from the 7th to 11th March. During this week a variety of activities took place, such as the Dental Workshop given by the Dental Nursing School of AIT. Children composed poems about our Healthy School and designed a poster to promote the drinking of water. The winning poster and slogan "Water is a human right, so let's stop this big sugar fight" was by Joe McDonagh, 6th class.
Anti-bullying week was held this year from 18th to 22nd April. Kameron Duffy, 1st class, won the Anti-bullying slogan competition with his slogan "Bullying is always wrong, Why can’t we just get along?!"
