Girls' Football Final 2016
Congratulations to the girls' football team on a fantastic win last Wednesday in Cusack Park, Mullingar. It was a spectacular display of football and we are very proud of the girls on their achievement. Thanks goes to manager, Michael Tumelty, teachers Mrs. Horan & Ms. McDonnell, and all the parents and members of the community who came to support. Below are some pictures captured on the day.
Sports Day will be held this year on Thurs 26th May from 10a.m. We hope it will be an enjoyable day for all.
Fire Safety Talk
Two fire officers spoke to the children in Third class about the fire hazards in our homes and how to reduce them. The children were each given a pack to go through with their parents at home and become familiar with fire safety precautions. We thank the Athlone fire service for visiting us and giving us an informative talk.
Congratulations to all the boys and girls in 2nd class who received their First Holy Communion on Saturday 14th May last.
Health Promoting School Flag
We have just received the good news that we are being awarded a Health Promoting School Flag for our efforts. A special word of thanks to the Health Promoting School Working Group in coordinating and organising the activities that have helped us get recognition for this award.
