The children in 4th and 5th class are currently focusing on the games strand of the P.E. curriculum. The children played different co-operative and community building games during their P.E. lesson. Finally, they finished their lesson with an obstacle course. Have a look at some of our photos from the obstacle course. Well done 4th and 5th Class. The Primary School Curriculum is changing and it is important that parents/guardians are aware of the changes that have taken place to date and what will be happening over the years to come. In this regard the Department of Education, in collaboration with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) and the Professional Development for Teachers (PDST), has developed a leaflet which is designed to introduce these changes and encourage parent/guardians to engage in the future consultations seeking feedback on the draft curriculum areas and subjects of the new curriculum. Please see below the leaflet regarding changes to the Primary Maths Curriculum. ![]()
Mr. Horan's 4th and 5th Class enjoyed book tasting today. His class 'tasted' different types of books. This will hopefully introduce the children to different types of books that they may not have otherwise been interested in. Please take the time to look at some of our photos from our book tasting event. Well done 4th and 5th Class!!! Mr. Horan's 4th and 5th Class are enjoying being back in school. Have a look at some of our first day back photos!! Enjoy!!! Our Junior Infants had their very 1st day of school on Wednesday 30th August. There was lots of excitement to meet new friends and have fun learning together in their new school. On Tuesday 27th June 2023 Fr. Godwin, parents and pupils came together to celebrate our end of year Mass and bid a fond farewell the 6th class children with songs and a slideshow presentation. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as we watched the fantastic Graduation presentation that Ms Feeley had put together for all. We are very proud of the wonderful young people they have become over the past 8 years. It was lovely to be part of such a special day and we wish them the very best in Secondary School and beyond! Click here to view the Graduation Presentation We would like to thank Mr. J. Martin Comey and his wife, Mary Lee, for their recent generous donation. The school have purchased new decodable readers and English resources, as well as Maths and gardening equipment. We look forward to using these in the new school year.
