1st and 2nd class picked scallions, radishes and lettuce from their vegetable box today. They then washed and prepped them and made delicious sandwiches for their lunches. We had a brilliant and jam packed day last Friday and luckily the weather was also in our favour. The fancy dress costumes are more impressive each year and we commend the children and all the mums and dads for the wonderfully creative costumes. The activity stations were lots of fun, particularly the four new stations. Well done to Tyler Rhatigan and Taylor Slevin's team for winning joint 1st in the 4th -6th classes and to Grace Carberry Deery's team for winning in the 1st-3rd classes. The competitive races were a success and well done to everyone for taking part. We saved the best for last with a visit from the ice-cream van. Thank you to the Parent's Association for organising it. Thank you to everyone who helped out on the day, it is very much appreciated. See below for some photos. A big congratulations to our 2nd class pupils who made their 1st Holy Communion on Saturday. The children read their prayers beautifully and brought very special gifts to the altar. A special thank you to Clare Sheerin for playing the piano, the choir for their beautiful singing and to Fr. Jerry for delivering the mass. It was such a lovely morning and we very much enjoyed the tea and buns at the school afterwards.
