The Senior Infants would like to thank the 5th and 6th class pupils for their help making a variety of houses from around the world. We had been learning about different climates and the types of houses for these climates. It was a lot of fun planning, making and working together. Congratulations to Fr. Oliver on reaching his Silver Jubilee. We are very fortunate to have him as our Parish priest and always look forward to his visits to the school. Thank you to the children from 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes for their beautiful artwork to display in the church. We hope he has an enjoyable night this coming Friday in Ballymore Church. Pat from childwatch.ie provided the senior classes with a very comprehension and interesting internet safety talk today. Even the more technological savvy children and teachers were surprised by the power of the internet and both the positive and negative effects it can have on our current and future lives. They received valuable information and advice on how to make their use of the internet as safe as possible. Please discuss with your child how to stay safe online and the importance of being safe online when sharing personal information. Senior Infants enjoyed sampling some of the lettuce, onions and radishes from our vegetable box. We made some delicious sandwiches for our lunch and we all brought home some lettuce for our families to taste. Junior and Senior Infants had a great day at the AIT Let's Go camp on Tuesday. They enjoyed a super range of action packed, fun filled activities which kept them active all day long. Below are a few snaps of the day. Congratulations to Emma Maynard in Sixth class who recently won 2nd place in the Oliver Goldsmith Poerty Competition with her poem entitled " A New Day In May".
